    The Hudson River Valley Greenway and National Heritage Area announced today a suite of tools that will make it easier for residents and tourists to explore the Hudson River from the Adirondack Park to New York City. They include a new Hudson River Greenway Water Trail Four-Map/Guide Set, a new mobile responsive website, and the latest edition of The Hudson River Greenway Water Trail Guide.

  • Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area Announces Grants for Heritage Tourism and Education

    Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area representatives and partner organizations were joined by Congressman Paul Tonko at an event today to announce 17 Heritage Development Grant awards to regional historic and cultural institutions. More than $60,000 was awarded to organizations in support of a variety of educational and interpretive programs that will showcase the area’s history and contribute to the region’s heritage tourism economy.

    Four Hudson Valley communities received a total of $27,400 in matching grants from the Hudson River Valley Greenway for projects that will help shape development,guide preservation, and spur neighborhood revitalization. The grants were awarded by the Hudson River Valley Greenway Board of Directors at their recent meeting held in Hyde Park.

  • New Hyde Park Greenway Trail Kiosks Unveiled

    New interpretive kiosks along the Hyde Park Greenway Trail were unveiled today at an event at Mills-Norrie State Park. The new kiosks will connect people to local history and provideorientation to the entire Hyde Park Greenway Trail system, benefiting residents and visitors alike. The kiosks are located within Mills-Norrie and the adjacent Staatsburgh State Historic Site and were funded, in part,through a $5000 grant from the Hudson River Valley Greenway.
