Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area Heritage Development Grant Program: The Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area is pleased to announce the Heritage Development Grant Program. This program will provide $50,000 in matching grants for program development, interpretation and promotional initiatives. The history of the Hudson Valley is a shared history which contributed to the birth and identity of our nation. The Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area offers this grant program to assist those heritage sites and organizations dedicated to preserving and enhancing this history. Who May Apply: Municipalities and not-for-profit corporations located within the geographic area of the HRVNHA, as defined by Public Law 104-333 may apply. “Friends groups” of federal and state sites are encouraged to apply. Award Amounts: Awards will range from $1,000 to $5,000 dollars for individual sites. Projects that include multiple partners will be eligible to receive funds beyond the $5,000 cap. Deadline: Applications must be received or postmarked by 4:00pm, February 5, 2010.
